Snowdon calls for immediate NT election

FEDERAL Labor MP Warren Snowdon says a Northern Territory election should be called immediately after its chief minister was rolled by colleagues.

AN election should immediately be called in the Northern Territory after Chief Minister Adam Giles was dumped from the top job, federal Labor MP Warren Snowdon says.

MR Giles was toppled by his Country Liberal Party (CLP) colleagues on Monday night in favour of former Minister for Primary Industry and Mines, Willem Westra van Holthe.
