NT police to patrol Katherine bottle shops

FOR the next six months, Darwin police will be seconded to Katherine to patrol bottle shops.

NORTHERN Territory police will patrol Katherine bottle shops in a bid to reduce alcohol-related violence.

CHIEF Minister Adam Giles said that since officers began patrolling liquor stores in central Australia in February, the number of assaults had dropped by more than a quarter in Alice Springs and had been halved in Tennant Creek.
