Night of violence in Alice Springs
A GROUP of youths threw rocks at NT police and started several fires in a night of violence that saw 42 people taken into protective custody.
A GROUP of over 50 young people hurled rocks at police and passing motorists and started several small scrub fires during a face-off in Alice Springs.
DURING a troubled night in the town, 42 people were taken into protective custody, 34 young people were escorted home by police and there were eight official reports on property damage made.
