A MAN has been airlifted to a Darwin hospital after he was thrown from his horse and knocked unconscious at a remote Northern Territory cattle station.

A CAREFLIGHT plane flew a doctor and nurse 470km south from Darwin to reach the injured man where he was being treated at Kalkarindge Health Clinic.
