Coroner calls for action on drink-driving
THE NT Coroner says drunks are not being deterred from driving under current measures, following another inquest into a drink-driving car accident.
DISQUALIFYING, fining and imprisoning drunk drivers is having no social impact and "something needs to be done", the Northern Territory Coroner says.
GREG Cavanagh on Friday handed down his findings following the April inquest into the deaths of three young Aboriginal people after the car their friend was driving away from police crashed.
