CLP can win NT election, says Giles

SUPPORT for the Northern Territory's Country Liberal Party government has dropped with the Labor opposition surging ahead, according to a new poll.

THE Northern Territory government can "absolutely" win next year's election, the chief minister says, despite a poll showing an 18 per cent swing against the Country Liberal Party.

A REACHTEL poll of 1000 voters in Darwin, Palmerston and Alice Springs found 62 per cent would support Labor on a two-party preferred basis compared to 38 per cent for the ailing CLP government.
