Kylie Minogue named Australian of the Year ‘in the UK’ at gala dinner ahead of Australia Day
SHE’S an Aussie darling and one of our most successful international exports. Now Kylie Minogue has been named Australian of the Year in the UK.
AUSSIE darling Kylie Minogue has been named the Australian of the Year in the UK.
The I Was Gonna Cancel singer wore a stunning vanilla-coloured beaded gown by Melbourne designers J’Aton Couture to accept her award, at the annual Australia Day Gala Dinner in London.
A beaming Minogue, 46, said she was “grateful” for the honour, which recognises the achievements of Aussies based in the United Kingdom.
The Kiss Me Once hit-maker, who recently left her mentor role on The Voice Australia, tweeted that she “pushed through” jet-lag to make the ceremony, held at Australia House.
She’ll return Down Under for her Kiss Me Once tour in March.
