Miley Cyrus new face of Marc Jacobs SS14

IT WAS one of the better-kept Hollywood secrets - Miley Cyrus has appeared in her first high fashion campaign as the face of Marc Jacobs' Spring Summer 2014 collection.

IT WAS certainly one of the better-kept Hollywood secrets - Miley Cyrus has appeared in her first high fashion campaign as the face of Marc Jacobs' Spring Summer 2014 collection.

The move was so low-profile, in fact, that it seems to have been spotted by editorial staff at Nylon magazine as they were perusing through their February edition.

In one of the images, Cyrus is seen sporting burgundy tailored shorts, a frilled navy jacket and some pretty impressive embellished shoes as she stares into the distance, surrounded by other equally-brooding models.

Following in the footsteps of women like Helena Bonham-Carter, Dakota Fanning and Victoria Beckham, the campaign shouldn't come as too much of a shock - Cyrus is, after all, a very public Marc Jacobs fan.

In her younger days she was often snapped touting a Marc Jacobs handbag, and is a regular at his runway shows. The floor-length fishnet gown she wore to last year's punk-themed Metropolitan Museum Of Art ball was Marc Jacobs, and she wore Marc Jacobs again to the 2013 Fashion Group International Night Of Stars Gala.

"I work a lot with Marc Jacobs," she told Hunger TV last year. "He kind of brought me into fashion when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and just learning from him. He let me inspire some of his pieces and now I feel like it's just about having the right people around you," she said.

The love is clearly reciprocal - aside from this campaign, Cyrus posed naked for one of Jacobs' skin cancer awareness t-shirts, and champions the Marc by Marc Jacobs gay marriage t-shirt.
