'When I get married, I will have the most unfortunate initials ever'

"I promised myself I'd never date anyone with this initial, yet here we are," the woman lamented in her viral video.

Woman's married name will be KKK

A bride-to-be has taken to TikTok to share her plans to change her name after she realised what her married initials would be.

The wedding influencer shared the clip explaining her predicament and received half a million views, 6427 likes and hundreds of comments.

She plans on changing her middle name

Kathryn started the clip by saying, "Introducing myself as my middle name because I'm going to have to change it when I take my fiancé's last name."

She looks confused and upset as she ruminates on her potential new name.

"Hi, I'm Keller," she writes as she shares various images of herself.

She captioned the clip, "If you check my profile, you'll get it."

And if you do take a peek at her bio, it explains that she will soon become Mrs. Keith.

Get it?

Well, her first name is Kathryn, her middle name is Keller... and her last name will be Keith.

Having the initials 'KKK' isn't exactly an ideal way to kick off married life, is it?  Or any life.

In a separate video, she spells it out further for those that didn't get it and explains that it'll sound like the white supremacist group, the Ku Klux Klan.

"I'm obviously not affiliated with them at all, it’s just a very unfortunate circumstance," she explains.

"I'm thinking to change my middle name but I don't even know what I should change to - there are so many options."

"No offence but no one will notice"

Many people empathised with the bride's dilemma, rushing to the comments to share their reactions.

One wrote, "This is so funny, and I am also so sorry OMG."

This person agreed: "That's so unfortunate," to which Kathryn replied, "Agreed. I told myself I’d never date someone with the last name K and here we are…"

And another person just wrote, "Oh dear...they could be the most unfortunate initials ever."

After scrolling for ages, we could only find two supporters in favour of the new initials.

They wrote: "I say keep it! It’s part of you and who you are! My initials are KMS, but I would never change my middle name!"

And the other said, "I mean this with no offence. But no one will notice or care unless you show them. I can’t recall a time I only used my initials."

The comments were full of suggestions

Other viewers tried to help Kathryn out with suggestions of possible new names.

"If your middle name is Keller, what about Ellery or Elle to keep as many letters similar as possible?" said one. Kathryn replied, "Okay wait I love this!!! This might be my favourite idea, I hadn’t thought of that!"

Another made this seemingly great suggestion: "Just change the spelling of your current middle name to start with a C."

But then people, including Kathryn, quickly noticed that would be 'cellar', like a basement.

More ideas came, including this comment: "It's traditional to use your maiden name as your middle name after marriage."

But Kathryn responded that her current last name is way too long to do that.

Gosh she can't win.

Anyway, we hope she settles on something that works soon enough!
