Trackside trend: Fitting dresses in eye-popping candy hues raise the racing goddess style stakes
THEY’RE off and racing in this year’s style stakes, and one of this season’s trackside trends is form-fitting goddess dresses in eye-popping candy hues.
THEY’RE off and racing in this year’s style stakes, and one of this season’s trackside trends is form-fitting goddess dresses in eye-popping candy hues.
The modern look is easy to wear and more flattering than last year’s 1950s full skirt shapes.
Myer Ambassador Laura Dundovic says it’s exciting to see more colour and curves on display.
“There are a lot of floaty dresses for girls who want to show off their individuality,” she said.
“The standard of dressing at the racing has improved and now people are showing more creativity. It’s why we’re seeing a lot of new shapes on offer,” she said.
Next Saturday’s Moet & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes Day at Royal Randwick will showcase trackside trends at the Myer Fashions on the Field NSW State Final competition.
Racegoers as far as Western Australia are preparing final looks this week in the hope of winning the prestigious title.
The competition winner will win a 10-day trip to the Melbourne Cup Carnival to represent NSW on Crown Oaks Day.
Prizes are valued at more than $100,000 on the day, including a European holiday flying with Emirates.
