IT MAY be her last hurrah as Myer racing ambassador, but Rebecca Judd is focused on fashion and fun this Melbourne Cup Carnival.

The 29-year-old brunette is in negotiations with the retail giant, but neither is certain they will have a trackside presence next season.

"It's hard to outline formally at this stage what my capacity will be," Judd said. "Early negotiations look like I'll be doing some great things with them next year."

Myer chief executive Bernie Brookes has refused to rule out the possibility that the retailer may not renew its VRC contract as a major sponsor for the Melbourne Cup carnival beyond this year.

Judd and fellow face of Myer Kris Smith (pictured) will judge the 50th edition of the Fashions on the Field, which they say just keeps getting better. "The competition is always of such a high standard," Judd said.

She predicts the field will be awash with colour, from bright neons to pretty pastels.
