PARIS Jackson has lashed out at the Australian media for its coverage of her bizarre appearance at Melbourne Cup Day in Flemington on Tuesday.

The VIP guest made headlines yesterday for her unusual conduct in the Birdcage, where she pressed her face up against the venue’s windows and poked her tongue out at photographers.

The 19-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson took to Twitter this morning to criticise The Herald Sun for its coverage of her odd behaviour in the Birdcage.

Jackson tweeted a photo of the headline in today’s newspaper — “WACKO JACKO 2.0” — to her 1.35 million Twitter followers.

She was paid a reported $100,000 by Myer to attend Melbourne Cup, but there was controversy about the outfit she wore.

Fairfax Media reported yesterday that Jackson had refused to wear a custom-made Alex Perry dress, instead opting for a more low-key dress by Morrison, another Myer designer.

But all seemed to be fine between Perry and Jackson, with the designer yesterday posting a photo of the pair on Instagram. “More beautiful and genuine in person than I could imagine,” he wrote.

Jackson told Elle Australiashe was given a range of outfits to choose from and she liked the Morrison dress best.

“It was the most like me out of the options I was given,” she told the magazine. “It’s one of my favourite colours. It’s comfortable, it’s soft, and I don’t feel like I want to die in it.”
She revealed her love for Australia and her plan to visit the Great Barrier Reef and further her studies as a Shaman healer.

“My training involves Reiki and learning how to be a mentor,” she told Elle. “As an apprentice, I’m really excited to be on this path because there is no end to it. It’s a really beautiful process.”

Jackson attended the Cup alongside her new boyfriend, Gold Coast model Tyler Green.
