Melbourne Cup 2018 fashion: Lara Worthingon breaks colourful dress code in drab Chloe outfit

EVERYONE knows that you wear colour to the Melbourne Cup, and Lara threw the dresscode out the window with this weird outfit.

THERE’S nothing quite like the disappointment of spending your tax return on a fancy outfit for the Melbourne Cup, only to have the heavens open and dump four years worth of rain on your nice new outfit.

If you are in Melbourne and you see a fascinator sailing down the street today, don’t be surprised. The rain is torrential.

But the celebrities haven’t let the weather dampen their spirits, putting their best feet forward at the muddy racecourse.

Aside from the rain, the most exciting thing to happen all day was the arrival of Lara Worthington to the Birdcage.

She caused a huge commotion outside the marquees with her late arrival around 1.45pm, as a huge press pack swarmed around the former reality star.

Worthington broke the Melbourne Cup’s traditional colourful dresscode and wore a drab white Chloe outfit, black beret and weather-appropriate boots.
