IT won't just be racehorse owners vying for a coveted trophy at the Melbourne Cup Carnival this year.
The VRC has announced that fashionable fillies are also to be awarded a winner's trophy.
Not only will the Myer Fashions on the Field national winner take home a share of more than $400,000 worth of prizes, but for the first time she will be presented with a handcrafted sterling silver perpetual trophy, created by Peter Gertler of Melbourne.

Myer ambassador Jennifer Hawkins revealed the glistening trophy exclusively for the Herald Sun.
"It's great that people will have a memento now for winning Myer Fashions on the Field," she said.
The blonde beauty admitted to feeling a little anxious about the shoot, following a fall from a horse when she was younger. "Horses can be difficult," Hawkins said.
"I've been bucked off a horse before."
But the horses became so comfortable around the former Miss Universe that one of them even attempted to eat her gorgeous Kerrie Stanley headpiece.
Hawkins will be joined by fellow Myer faces Rebecca Judd and Kris Smith, along with this year's Fashions on the Field ambassador Alison Saville, at the VIP launch of 50 years of Fashions on the Field at Myer Mural Hall today.
A Fashions on the Field judge, Hawkins is hoping to see plenty of colour and femininity this year.
"Hopefully there will be lots of floral prints," Hawkins said.
"I want to see women look like women, and put it all together like they did 50 years ago."
