Everest Cup: Best celebrity outfits as Spring Racing Carnival begins
The Big Brother host put on a glamorous first post-lockdown appearance wearing a flesh-coloured dress and see-through heels.
Spring Racing Carnival has kicked off today with the Everest Cup – and after almost four months in lockdown, we’re seeing some big fashion looks.
Former reality star Jules Robinson arrived in a stunning blue lace dress with balloon sleeve designed by Marian Rahme teamed with a custom made headpiece by Somewhere Here Now.
The mum-of-one, who recently revealed she’d lost nearly 20 kilos, arrived with partner Cam Merchant to the event at Sydney’s Randwick Racecourse on Saturday morning which has been able to go ahead with a limited crowd of 10,000 after NSW hit its 70 per cent vaccination target.
Jules, 39, was recently named a 2021 ambassador for the Australian Turf Club (ATC) and was styled for the first event of the season by celebrity fashion stylist Donny Galella.
Along with her striking gown and bow headpiece, Jules revealed she was wearing her shapewear brand Figur underneath her dress on social media.
She finished the look with a pair of nude heels and Cerrone jewels for her accessories.
Racing royalty Kate Waterhouse is also in attendance, wearing a white midi dress from Scanlan & Theodore.
She teamed her sleeveless dress with blue pointed heels, a black clutch and Fendi hair clips.
“BACK ON TRACK,” she captioned a series of photos revealing her ensemble on Instagram.
TV host Sonia Kruger, a long time regular on the racing scene, opted for a figure-hugging flesh coloured “nude” one-shoulder dress.
The pale pink ensemble was teamed with statement clutch and oversized sunnies.
She also opted for a pair of see-through heels, putting a fresh post-lockdown pedicure on full display.
The ATC recently announced this year’s Everest Carnival Ambassador was Home And Away actress Sophie Dillman who plays Ziggy Astoni on the hit Channel 7 soap.
“I can’t wait to get glammed up, wear a beautiful dress and headwear and put on a pair of heels again for Everest Day at Royal Randwick,” she said Friday.
“I’m looking forward to seeing all the trackside colour and fashion and to judging Spring Fashion Stakes on one of the most glamorous days on the Australian racing calendar.”
On Saturday, Sophie made her first appearance as the official Everest Carnival ambassador wearing a blue floral patterned dress.
She teamed the midi dress with a black chain strapped bag and a subtle, chic hair bow.
Sophie was snapped alongside her partner Patrick O’Connor for her official duties which will see someone with offers $25,000 in cash in the digital Spring Fashion Stakes competition.
Samantha Armytage also made an appearance alongside husband Richard Lavender.
