LOOKING surprisingly demure in a low-cut, patterned dress at Oaks Day, Brynne Edelsten told of how she laughed when she heard of her ex-husband’s proposal to Gabi Grecko.
Speaking exclusively to the Herald Sun, Edelsten said: “To be honest, it made me laugh.”
The spectacle at Melbourne Cup day was certainly something she would have come to expect from her flamboyant ex partner and his new bride-to-be.
“It’s a funny way Geoff went about it, but Geoff has some funny ways with everything he does,” she said.
“Good for them, I wish them the best. Hopefully this will make the divorce move forward.”
Edelsten, who still isn’t officially divorced from her much older former husband, said she wouldn’t be bullied into changing her name back to Gordon either just because Grecko has a problem with it.
“I’ve been harassed, I’ve been bullied, I’ve been criticised, when I haven’t even met the girl,” Edelsten said. “To be honest I’d rather not use that last name (Edelsten) as a lot of good things haven’t happened with that name in history, but at the same time I’m not going to be bullied into using any name I choose or not choose to use.”
Edelsten was one of the few celebrities who turned up to Ladies Day at Flemington along with racing stayers such as Jennifer Hawkins, Kate Peck and Rachel Finch who have all done their best to promote their respective brand associations.
