Miss Universe Australia 2022 runner up and the partner of AFL star Josh Daicos, Annalise Dalins, wore a figure hugging blue satin outfit for the big day.
Annalise, 22, had a dress from Eliya the Label, which featured a bust with spaghetti straps and a triangle top before morning into a body-hugging corset.
The dress also featured sleeves, and she paired it with a pastel blue hat, a nude bag and pointed heels. Annalise had celebrity stylist Paul Versace – known as Styled by Bloom – work with her for The Oaks Day.
Many praised the look, saying she was “three for three” with her Cup Carnival outfits and that she looked “gorgeous”.
The nieces of Princess Diana – Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer – were a vision in white after going for a bold red look on the day of the Melbourne Cup.
Both of the women wore two piece outfits more akin to suits for the occasion, with Lady Amelia opting for a corset-like top with a structured bodice and bell sleeves.
Meanwhile, her twin Lady Eliza opted for a dress with a dramatic strapless and pointed neckline.
Both women relied heavily on jewels for the occasion, wearing chunky head pieces and necklaces.
Model Darcy Spinks followed suit from Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia, also opting for a white suit-like design, but this one featuring pinstripes.
Compared to some of the others on the day, Darcy’s was a lot more formfitting. She paired the look with a wide brim hat, open toe shoes and an orange bag.
Olivia Molly Rogers, who recently announced a split with boyfriend of seven months Morgan Waterhouse, used the same stylist as Annalise.
Olivia opted for a soft pink for the occasion, wearing a lace one-shoulder number with an intricate design on the top of her shoulder. The dress featured a bold split up the side that was partially covered by nude material.
She paired the look with a soft pink and nude makeup look, before finishing with a delicate fascinator.
Meanwhile Tegan Martin, a Former Miss Universe Australia, was one of the few who chose to incorporate purple into her look, wearing an oversized suit from Shona Joy.
She paired the lilac suit with a tiny purple handbag and open toed hot pink sandal heels, keeping her blonde hair simple in a straight look. S
Tegan finished the look with a purple headband reminiscent of something Gossip Girl character Blair Waldorf would wear.
Demi Brereton, a Melbourne model and former Fashions on the Field winner turned 2023 Melbourne Cup Carnival Ambassador, wore a light blue dress that almost had a trench coat look to it.
Demi’s dress has a sheer layering with a floral design and a huge bow, which she paired with a white handbag that had a purple piece of material tied around it.
She completed the look with a bold, white hat that perfectly matched her bag.
AFL star Max Gawn and wife Jessica, who are expecting their second child, also attended the Kennedy Oaks Day.
Jessica wore a one shoulder satin dress that bordered between blue and purple, which perfectly framed her budding bump.
She paired the look with small kitten heels that were an identical colour to her dress.
Meanwhile Max wore a three-piece suit, which had black outer layers and a grey waistcoat underneath. He finished the look with a forest green tie.
Sarita Holland, and influencer, wore a nude dress with a sheer yellow layer over it, which featured bold flowers designs across it. She was also one of the new who opted to include purple in her outfit.
She paired the intricate dress with a gold clutch and statement earrings and a purple headband.
Golf legend Geoff Ogilvy and TV personality Bree Laughlin were photographed together at the event, with Geoff wearing a light blue suit jacket, light trousers and a stripped tie. He had a light flower pinned to his lapel.
Meanwhile, Bree wore a pink mini dress with a floral print up the front. She finished the look with a feather bag and a gold horn hat.
Author and Miss World Australia 2023 Jasmine Stringer, like Olivia Molly Rogers, opted for pink lace.
However, Jasmine’s had a higher neckline and flared sleeves, with a pink tulle bow at the back.
North Melbourne AFL player Jaidyn Stephenson and French girlfriend Emily Vincent also attended the race day, with the sports star wearing a light blue suit and tan shoes.
Meanwhile model Emily wore a halter neck mini dress that was white and blue flowers on it, which she expertly paired with simple accessories to create a timeless look.
Rob Mills, who most recently toured with the musical & Juliet, wore a grey suit with lighter colours wove through to create a checker effect. He paired it with a white floral shirt and tie, as well as black dress shoes.
Digital creator Elle Ray went much down the same route as Emily, opting for a simple white dress that created an air of elegance.
The daughter of former Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu, Eleanor opted for a bright and colourful dress for the big event.
The summer dress was paired with a Guess lime green handbag and gold heels, as well as a smaller straw hat.
There is a particular investment in this year’s fashion at the Spring Racing Carnival after the Victoria Racing Club updated its dress regulations for exclusive member areas at Flemington Racecourse, including the prestigious Birdcage, with women now able show off their midriffs, wear cut-outs and expose backs.
However, with members still “expected to maintain a suitable standard of racewear attire” there’s a major caveat to the rules.
At this year’s Oaks Day, the daughter of racing royalty Gai Waterhouse wore a floor length and full sleeve dress from Zimmerman, which she paired with a Dior bag and Gucci heels.
Kate’s dress was nude with a white slip over the top that featured bold white, geometric designs and frills.
During the 2022 Melbourne Cup, Kate wore a controversial “Barbiecore” Gucci slip dress with a tiara.
One critic declared the 40-year-old’s outfit was “the day the Cup died”.
She didn’t let the brutal comment dampen her spirit as just two days later the Channel 7 presenter was seen at Oaks Day rocking a two piece skirt suit in a contrasting dogtooth print.
She teamed her bright outfit with a rose gold clutch and metallic gold heels, finishing it off with a black wide-rimmed hat.
