The internet is losing it over a cereal sex codeword
A shocking sexual claim surrounding a box of cereal and Mormon reality stars has set social media alight.
A feud has broken out between two Mormon reality stars over the bizarre term “Fruity Pebbles”, following allegations about an intimate act that sent the internet into meltdown.
The storyline first appeared in the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives debut season last September, but it has now reignited on social media.
Tensions escalated this week when Demi Engemann, 30, accused co-star Jessi Ngatikaura, 33, of being jealous of her.
Ms Ngatikaura hit back, taking aim at Engemann’s sex life with husband Bret Engemann and reviving the now-viral “Fruity Pebbles” claim.
“Since she wants to be petty and be an a**hole, I think I am just going to go ahead and say that grandpa Bret likes to drink her p*ss like it is dirty soda,” Ngatikaura said.
She also made an additional video providing further explanation.
“I actually don’t think I made it clear enough in my story why they call that fruity pebbles, and I’ve gotten a lot of questions about that, so it’s because it [urine] apparently tastes like fruity pebbles, which I’m not going to yuck your yum, but that’s weird,” the star said.
A back-and-forth between the castmates has now ensued.

Ms Engemann immediately responded to the revelation in a written Instagram post.
“What my husband and I did one time behind closed doors, was a consensual and private experience in our marriage. I won’t let a private act between my husband and I be a distraction from a serious act that I did not consent to,” she wrote.
“I shared this information with Jessi in confidence nearly two years ago. It’s very telling that she’s choosing to break storyline and bring it up now, only after her own affair has come to light.”
The “serious act” she mentioned relates to allegations she’s made against reality star Marciano Cantero, who also had an affair with Ms Ngatikaura.
Fans were left confused by the term after another mum, Whitney Levitt, gifted Engemann a large box of the sugary cereal, leading to widespread questions about why the popular American food was significant.
The moment became one of the show’s most-discussed scenes, with viewers speculating for months.
TikTok creators stitched the clip repeatedly, debating whether the cereal was a coded reference to infidelity, a private kink or simply an inside joke. None of which were confirmed at the time.
The storyline has now resurfaced, giving fans their long-awaited answer via an Instagram story on Tuesday.
Engemann has since also dropped a TikTok leaning into the internet’s punchlines where she eats a bowl of Fruity Pebbles and her husband sips a urine-colour beverage.
In the comment section of the video, the star responds to fans: “nothing left to do but own it” and “it’s out there. No point putting Pandora back in the box.”
Others poked further fun.
“So ya’ll can do this, but not have coffee?” questioned one user, referring to Mormon rules.
“You’re literally too pretty for this. Hire a publicist,” another remarked.

Other MomTok influencers have made posts in response, including Ms Ngatikaura, who made a video to Taylor Swift’s tune ‘Actually Romantic’ where she lights a Fruity Pebbles candle.
The bizarre saga has continued to dominate social media platforms, with thousands admitting they’re still trying to understand how a box of cereal became the internet’s latest scandal.
