Steph Claire Smith reveals how her haircut has improved an intimate part of her life
Influencer Steph Claire Smith has gotten very honest and revealed how one very small thing has made her sex life better.
In this economy, a haircut is as good as a holiday and might even improve your sex life, at least according to influencer Steph Claire Smith.
The fitness’ it’ girl had recently decided to trade in her long hair for a sleek Taylor Swift in her 1989 era bob, and she revealed on the Keep It Cleaner podcast, which she co-hosts with Laura Henshaw, that it has had some surprising benefits.
It all started innocently enough. Steph was sharing a list of reasons it is better to have shorter hair on the podcast.
So you don’t get it stuck under the arm of your handbag, which she described as one of the “worst” feelings, you can wear hoodies without your hair knotting, and you can wet your hair in the shower without having to go through the whole production of shampooing and conditioning it.
Henshaw then mentioned that she finds sometimes her long hair can ruin the moment during sex because it can get caught under a pillow, and Steph nodded in understanding.
“So, you’re going to have better sex now. Have you?” She asked
“Yes,” Smith confessed.
Henshaw didn’t let that slide, went full Tracy Grimshaw investigative journalist, and pried further.
“So you got a bob, and now you have better sex! How much better?” she asked.
The mum of one laughed but elaborated that just the other day, she’d had “probably” some of the “best sex” she’d ever had with her husband of a decade, Josh Miller, and she put it down to partly feeling fresh and “different” because of her new haircut.
Smith is no stranger to opening up and sharing intimate details about herself; she recently went viral for sharing a photo of her bum in a bikini that included a few visible blemishes.
“Sun’s out, bum pimples out,” she captioned the photo.
Later she shared a series of video stories on her Instagram to respond to the support she’d received for sharing the candid snap.
“Okay, I’ve had so many of you message me since the bum pimple story went up — so many beautiful messages. Thank you so much,” she told her 1.5 million followers.
She said once she noticed the outbreak of pimples, she considered changing her swimmers to conceal them.
Instead, she decided to confront her insecurity head-on and share the image with her fans, hoping it would help normalise it and provide comfort to other people who experience it.
“I was so insecure about them for the longest time and today I looked at myself in the mirror and I was like oh my god, my butt,” she said in the post.
“And then I thought who gives a s*** and I just decided to post about it.
