Star, 26, who married tattooed prisoner reveals ‘intimate’ sex life details

A reality star who met and married a prisoner behind bars has opened up about how the couple get “intimate” while her husband is incarcerated.
German-born Lorra Gehrke, whose name translates to Laura in English, met her husband Joshua Stewart on a prison penpal site in 2023.
Gehrke, 26, joined the site while stuck in Dubai due to visa issues and quickly started chatting to Stewart, who is currently serving time in the US for homicide and possessing a controlled substance.
The pair “clicked” instantly, and would spend up to 11 hours a day talking on the phone, prompting Gehrke to fly to the US to visit the 21-year-old at the prison where he was locked up.
After six weeks, Stewart proposed to his German reality star girlfriend, and the pair tied the knot “without ever having sex” at Washington State correctional facility in June 2024.
Now the 26-year-old has opened up about how she gets “intimate” with her husband despite the fact she lives 8000 kilometres away in her home country.
“It’s so much more intimate somehow, even though it’s not intimate physically, it’s very intimate emotionally,” she explained in an interview with Truly.
The pair initially connected online over their mutual love of poetry, with Stewart sending the Too Hot Too Handle: Germany star reams of his handwritten scrawlings.
After love blossomed through their shared notes, Gehrke flew to the US to visit her man, admitting she was “very nervous” the first time she went to the jail.
“Obviously I had some doubts, I was in love with him virtually but I didn’t know if I would feel it in real life,” she shared.
“But as soon as he came out, I felt so happy, everything was exactly as it was on the phone and the video calls.
“We were just vibing perfectly and everything was great.”
Gehrke also said that her life had completely changed since she met her prison husband, explaining that falling in love had caused her to give up her luxury lifestyle in favour of a more modest existence.
“Before, I had everything when it comes to like materialistic stuff and financial stuff, I was travelling the world I was like doing everything you could imagine but I never felt satisfied from within,” she shared.
“That was because I needed love but since I found him I realised that that was what I was missing.”
Steward has served a just over three years of his 7-year sentence, but Gehrke said the pair are hopeful he will be released after 4 and-a-half years.
When that happens, she will move to the US as her husband will still be living under certain conditions, including six months of house arrest.
Previously, Gehrke explained she and her jail husband have to get creative when it comes to having sex, noting she has never even seen her him without his prison uniform on.
“I can send pictures, he can’t so I always get so mad, I have to use my imagination so intensely because I haven’t even seen him without his shirt on, not even that,” she told the Excuse My Friend podcast in December.
The pair have been able to participate in “phone sex”, she explained, adding it was a little “awkward” at first.
