‘Possess and impregnate her’: RFK Jr and Olivia Nuzzi scandal grows

A journalist caught up in a sexual scandal with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed he wanted to “possess” her, according to a new filing.

‘Wild ride’: Robert F Kennedy Jr facing scrutiny over alleged scandal

Journalist Olivia Nuzzi claimed that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wanted to “possess,” “control” and “impregnate” her during their sexting tryst.

The claims come from an explosive court filing by her ex-fiance Ryan Lizza.

The court documents, which Ms Nuzzi’s team said were “full of salacious and irrelevant claims,” came in response to a no-contact order that Ms Nuzzi filed against Mr Lizza.

In her filing, she claimed that he blackmailed her over the affair and hacked her devices, according to the documents filed in Washington, DC’s Superior Court this week.

In the new filing, Mr Lizza stated that everything he learned of the affair with Mr Kennedy came from Ms Nuzzi herself, the New York Post reports.

“No device of Ms Nuzzi’s was ever hacked to learn of this information,” the court filing read.

Ms Nuzzi – New York Magazine’s acclaimed Washington correspondent – had been engaged to Mr Lizza – Politico’s chief Washington correspondent – until he broke off their engagement on August 17 after he confronted Ms Nuzzi about the nature of her relationship with RFK Jr., according to the filing.

Mr Lizza said Ms Nuzzi admitted to having an affair with Mr Kennedy and that she described the relationship as “toxic,” “unhealthy,” “psychotic” and “indefensible.”

Ms Nuzzi, 31, then begged Mr Lizza, 50, to rekindle the relationship several times after the break-up, according to the filing.

Mr Lizza also alleged that Ms Nuzzi had another affair in 2020 that he claimed harmed a book deal that the couple had.

“Her allegation of trying to blackmail her back into our relationship is a disgraceful lie contradicted by the most basic facts,” he said in the filing.

“Ms Nuzzi’s own recklessness is solely responsible for the ‘public ridicule,’ ‘humiliation’ and ‘professional damage’ she says she has suffered,” Mr Lizza wrote in his response — referencing claims Ms Nuzzi made in her original filing.

Mr Lizza also refuted claims he disclosed Ms Nuzzi’s relationship with Mr Kennedy to her editors at New York Magazine.

Instead, he said, Ms Nuzzi said he “saved her job” by urging her to not to use reporting details that RFK Jr. gave her during their affair.

He said he also repeatedly urged her to tell her editor about the affair — but he refused, according to the filing.

Ms Nuzzi met RFK Jr., 70, last year when she profiled him for the magazine.

RFK Jr. has said he and Ms Nuzzi met only once — and told the Wall Street Journal that Mr Lizza’s description of the relationship was not accurate.

“We reiterate what Ms Nuzzi said in her request for a protective order: That Mr Lizza’s intent is to harass and humiliate Ms Nuzzi and that he is utilising the press to do so — some of the very issues that drove Ms Nuzzi to file for a protective order in the DC Superior Court,” Ms Nuzzi’s lawyers said.

“Filings such as this, full of salacious and irrelevant claims that we will not dignify with a response, further his efforts, as described in her initial filing for the protective order. Her only objective in seeking intervention from law enforcement and the court is to ensure her safety and be left alone.”
