Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia Spencer marries Greg Mallett in Cape Town, South Africa
Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Amelia Spencer, has married her longtime partner in a glamorous wedding in South Africa.
Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia Spencer has tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Greg Mallett at a glamorous mountaintop wedding.
The couple, who has been together for 14 years, celebrated their love at La Cotte Farm near Cape Town, South Africa, the Daily Mail reports.
“It means so much to get married here,” Amelia, 30, told Hello! Magazine on Tuesday.
“Growing up here together for the last 14 years, all of mine and Greg’s happiest times as a couple are here. It’s even more special now.”
Some of the family members in attendance included Amelia’s twin sister, Lady Eliza, sister Lady Kitty and brother Samuel, Page Six reports.
The Daily Mail also reported that the bride’s father and Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, did not attend his daughter’s big day. It’s unclear why.
It’s also unclear if other members of the royal family attended the nuptials.
Although the couple has remained fairly quiet about their big day on social media, Amelia shared a sweet Instagram photo commemorating their big day last week.
In the photo, the two lovingly stared at each other at what would be their wedding venue.
“Not long now…” they captioned the joint post.
Back in July 2020, the fitness and nutrition coach, 33, announced via Instagram that he had asked Amelia to marry him, calling the proposal the “best day” of his life.
Following the couple’s “best day,” Charles shared his excitement for the engagement on Twitter, saying that he was “so happy” for his daughter and Mallett.
“Sending them both love, and every good wish for their life together. I love that Greg asked my blessing before proposing. Very sweet,” Charles wrote.
