Mortifying detail in couple’s wedding sign

The newlywed’s sign has gone viral for all the wrong reasons after an accidentally rude detail was picked up – and you won’t be able to unsee it.

Every couple wants their wedding to be memorable.
But one couple’s nuptials have gone viral for all the wrong reasons after an accidentally rude detail was picked up.

In a photo shared to the Reddit’s Wedding Shaming section, a couple’s sign reads in Spanish: “Welcome to the wedding of …”

Then it gets tricky, with the wedding sign’s font making it seem like the groom’s names is, ahem, Penis.

But it’s safe to assume that Penis isn’t marrying Ale and the groom’s name is Denis, with the curly font responsible for the mix-up.

“Be careful of your signage font … Mr Penis,” the user who shared the photo captioned the post.

Others also criticised the sign’s writing, saying it was the “worst font” and “so hard to read”.

“You could have the most talented script artist write anything in this font and it would still be basically illegible and tacky,” one person said.

“As someone who does wedding calligraphy, I agree. Shaky lettering is such a pet peeve of mine. The flowers are nice though!” another said.

But others argued that because the sign was in Spanish it didn’t have the same rude meaning as it did in English.

“It’s in Spanish, this would only a problem in English. At a glance we wouldn’t associate it with genitals,” one said.

“The sign is in Spanish so it’s pretty obvious it says Denis,” another argued.

Groom slammed for wearing T-shirt to wedding

Earlier this month another couple went viral after footage was shared to TikTok of their UK wedding, showing the bride in a blinged-out wedding dress complete with crown and veil.

But in contrast the groom was wearing a black T-shirt, runners and washed jeans.

While the graphic T-shirt is by designer Francesco Ragazzi’s and costs between $390 and $555, the groom was accused of dressing like a “slob” for his big day.

“Did he not know he was getting married?” one wrote.

“That is sad look how beautiful she looks he couldn’t even be bothered changing from the night before.,” another commented.

In response the bride’s best friend, who had shared the video of the couple, defended the groom’s outfit.

“For god sake stop she’s married & very happy. She’s not bothered wat way he dressed she’s married & that’s all that matters,” she wrote.
