Moment bride’s mother-in-law tries to ‘take her spot’ at the altar

A furious bride has shared a video of her mother-in-law’s shock act at the altar that saw the minister step in and tell her to “back up”.

A bride has shared footage of the moment her mother-in-law attempted to take her place at the altar.

TikTok user Paula, who goes by the handle @hey_heypaula, shared her wedding video with her followers where it has since received more than 2 million views, The Sun reports.

The video sees her “monster-in-law” attempting to muscle in on the happy couple as they say their vows on a beach.

“She was actually trying to take my spot,” Paula writes, captioning her post.

To add insult to injury, the mum also wore an entirely white outfit for the occasion with Paula accusing her of having “No respect or consideration”.

As the video continues, the minsiter tells the mother-in-law to “back up” for a second time.

“I felt her, the grim reaper on my back for the whole ceremony,” Paula wrote.

Viewers were left outraged by the woman’s behaviour, with many amazed at how Paula was able to bite her tongue.

“There’s no way I would have stayed quiet,” one person commented.

“I would not let her stay as she decided to wear white,” added another, while a third wrote, “Red flags.”

Others were also gobsmacked that the woman wore white, with one person saying if someone had wore white to her wedding, she would “send them home”.

“This is why I'm having a paintball gun at my wedding if you show up in white it’s getting ruined,” another woman joked.

Some didn’t see the problem with the woman’s actions, branding the bride’s reaction “dramatic”.

I don’t see anything wrong, this is a little too dramatic,” the person wrote.

“Yes she’s wearing white but EVERYONE was wearing white from what I can see and of course she’s gonna (sic) take pics! Her son is getting married!!”
