Grandma, 82, reveals ‘priceless’ discovery about 36yo husband
Iris Mohamady, 82, married Mohamed Ahmed Ibriham, 36, in 2020 after falling in love three years ago – despite their 46-year age difference.
A toyboy-loving grandmother has made a “priceless” discovery about her Egyptian husband after they were forced to spend weeks apart.
Iris Mohamady, 82, married Mohamed Ahmed Ibriham, 36, in 2020 after falling in love three years ago – despite their 46-year age difference, The Sun reports.
After meeting on Facebook, Iris flew to Egypt so the pair could finally meet in person and tie the knot.
Since then, the loved-up gran has regularly been expressing her love for her man.
But the couple had to spend some time apart when Mohamed’s father became sick and he rushed to Cairo to visit him.
After spending four weeks apart, Iris says the distance helped her realise how lucky she is.
On Sunday she wrote: “Love is knowing you look like s**t after a day’s housework and gardening, without a scrap of make up on dressed in my scruff.
“After a month’s absence, my wonderful husband will welcome me just the way I am, because that’s what love is all about.
“Welcome home, Mohamed. Missing you this past month has made me realise what a priceless gem you are.
“This rough diamond of a wife will be more appreciative of you in the future.”
The pensioner has previously shared her joy at being reunited with her beau after time apart.
She faced an agonising year-long wait for Mohamed, 36, to be granted a visa in the UK – when they could only communicate via phone or Facebook chat.
Iris even feared she could “drop dead” before they had the chance to see each other again.
But the OAP was thrilled when he touched down in London on November 19 – and gave him a very British welcome.
She greeted him with a cup of tea to toast him passing an English language exam and finally being reunited.
The retired care worker, from Somerset in the south west of England, told The Sunday Mirror: “We didn’t celebrate – we are just together and that’s celebration enough.
“We just had a cup of tea together. Mohamed is happy but he can’t say much at the moment. He’s one of those reserved Egyptians.”
The British gran has also spilled about their unconventional relationship, revealing that he happily cuts her toenails for her after shedding all on their sex life.
In a Facebook post, Iris revealed what “love” means to her, while giving those invested in the couple’s relationship a real insight into just how smitten she is with her toyboy lover.
She gushed: “LOVE is … when the one you love cuts your toe nails. LOVE is … when the one you love carries you up two flights of stairs when the lift has broken down.
“LOVE is … when the one you love spends hours looking for the phone you left in an Uber taxi. (Needle in a haystack) scenario! LOVE is … when [the] one you love sleeps on a hospital floor, and refuses to leave you while you recover from a fall.”
