Cardboard heiress Georgia Geminder’s stunning wedding day
Georgia Geminder is the daughter of Fiona Geminder, who owns cardboard giant Visy, while her dad Ralph Geminder is also a Rich Lister.
An heiress to a cardboard fortune and founder of a toothpaste company has tied the knot with her investment director partner.
Georgia Geminder is the daughter of Fiona Geminder, who owns cardboard giant Visy, while her dad Ralph Geminder is also a Rich Lister with a 40 per cent share in plastics manufacturer Pact.
The Melbourne woman is also the granddaughter of Richard, who founded and ran Visy before he passed away in 2009.
Georgia and her new husband, Matthew Danos, tied the knot in a traditional Jewish ceremony in one of Melbourne’s most exclusive suburbs, Kew.
Following the ceremony, there was a black tie reception at Raheen where guests dined on an Italian feast including a mozzarella and tomato salad as well as pasta from a giant cheese wheel.
Later into the night, In N Out burger was also served to guests.
Georgia wore a beaded, strapless dress for her big day, which was designed by couture house J’Aton, run by Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino.
She accessorised with a dainty headband and matching fingerless gloves from the same material as her gown.
As the night wore on, she slipped into a sparkly dress for the post reception party.
Georgia posted several snaps of the event onto her Instagram story, including clips cutting the six-tier cake and sharing a kiss with Matthew.
In one, she even shared a snap clip of herself using breath spray from her own oral care line, calling it a “wedding essential”.
The 28-year-old woman, who spent seven years modelling in Australia, London and Los Angeles, launched her toothpaste and oral care brand Gem in 2020, which replaces chemicals with natural ingredients.
Gem’s toothpaste comes in four flavours — apple mint, cinnamon mint, coconut mint and crisp mint, which sell for $15, and are packaged in pretty pastel tubes. There’s also a plant-based floss for $10, which is biodegradable, and a mouthwash that retails for $18.
One unusual product is the sustainable toothpaste bites, which cost $15, and come with 60 in the container.
The brand’s bestseller is the crispy mint toothpaste, while the Gem starter kit which includes toothpaste, floss and mouthwash retails for $40 and is also popular online, Ms Geminder said. The backing of a cosmetic giant has also helped.
There is also a whitening pen and breath spray, which launched last year.
Georgia is currently on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list for her work as a hygiene mogul.
