BEC Judd has revealed personal details about how her husband Chris’s football career affected their sex life. This is what life as a WAG is really like.

THE wife of former Carlton captain Chris Judd has spilt on her sex life with the superstar footballer.

Speaking on KIIS FM’s 3pm Pick-Up this week, Bec Judd told co-hosts Yumi Stynes and Kate “Monty” Dimond about what her relationship was like during the height of her husband’s career.

“There was no sex on the game day!” Judd said.

“Some guys needed sex on game day. It just depends … I think my husband didn’t want to blow any steam … save all his energy for the game. I’m not very sexual, I’m very prudish!” she joked.

Judd made her debut as a WAG at the 2004 Brownlow Awards in that famous plunging red dress, back when the couple were first dating.

Now they’ve been married for nearly eight years and have four young children, Oscar, 7, Billie, 4, and twins, Tom and Darcy, 2.

Since Chris Judd retired in 2015, his wife has built a profile as a lifestyle, fashion and parenting influencer.

She has almost 700,000 Instagram followers and endorsement deals with Landrover, diamond brand Paul Bram, homewares store Adairs and spray tan brand Spray Aus.

Judd said there was initially a perception that she had “ridden on (her husband’s) coat-tails”.

“Now there has been a distance and he’s not playing anymore. I’ve done far more now so I think I’m respected in my own right as a career woman but definitely while he was still playing. For years it was always associated with him,” she said.

But she admitted she had received “a lot of opportunities” from her status as a WAG.

“But, I’m not denying that I didn’t get a lot of opportunities because of how amazing he was as a football player,” she said.

Judd’s co-host Monty supported her friend, saying she had managed to successfully work her connections.

“Everything is working your connections, and the thing is you can have those your opportunities but not do anything with them … Now Juddy [Chris] rides off your coat-tails,” Monty joked.

In his 2015 book Inside, Chris Judd said his relationship worked because he and Bec were so different.

He also explained how as his career was coming to an end, hers was just starting.

“With her active and creative mind, Bec needs her professional interests as well as our family life. And her career is soaring. I could see the end of my footy days in the middle distance, and a part of me was craving a more normal and anonymous life as a couple. Then Myer came calling for Bec, then Channel 9, and she began to spread her wings,” Chris wrote.

“Now we were on opposite trajectories: as my public profile was beginning to diminish, hers was growing.”

He said her ambition and drive are character traits he admires greatly in his wife.

“Bec’s very clever and funny, and to me they’re the two most important traits in a partner. She’s also incredibly busy,” he wrote.

“She has a speech pathology degree, although she doesn’t work in that field now. She owns a beauty school, and has a highly successful blog and several media and advertising gigs, and that’s just scratching the surface. None are token engagements; she collaborates exhaustively on every project. She’s driven and ambitious — characteristics I should recognise. She’s also a great mum to our two kids.”
