Weekly Astrology forecast: What’s in store for June 14-20
If it has been a difficult two weeks then there’s an explanation as to why – the bad news is that there’s one more week to go.
Welcome to this week’s horoscopes, where a third and final week of mercury in retrograde is wreaking havoc.
Signs in the eye of this storm this week are Taurus, Aquarius, Scorpio and Leo.
Geminis are also finding it tough thanks to the infamous Mercury retrograde gauntlet hosted by their sign – just one more week to go Geminis.

The Saturn Uranus Square: lasting change
This year’s overall astro headline is Saturn moving into a square aspect to Uranus, and on Monday, these gas giants are back in the ring for round two of three. The first was February 17, the final is December 24, but the effects span a more extended period. While that means three gruelling bouts, we also have three chances to get something right.
Saturn represents conservation, tradition, and structure, while Uranus coming in at a right angle represents the future, innovation, and disruptive technology. The result expresses in the collective as social unrest and governing structures either crumble to revolution or step up to absorb timely change.
Not because of the planets, but they align like great hands of a cosmic clock. When it strikes, it correlates with certain events within a theme and on-brand for the meaning the planets represent.
History may not repeat, but it sure does rhyme. The beginning of this particular 45ish year cycle was 1988 with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the first international connectivity of the internet; the opening square aspect was 2000 when the internet mainstreamed, changing the global landscape forever.
Then the opposition in 2010 with the Arab Spring, made possible by digital connectivity and social media. This final challenge of the closing square, and invariably, technology may play its part once again.
Saturn: A new look at an old devil is a modern classic book title about Saturn itself, and this week could very well apply to this tense aspect and churning social discontent.
In your own life, rather than take one side of the square and casting someone else as the opposition, how can you upgrade the system to be more inclusive and egalitarian? Consider negotiation, like trade agreements rather than two sides bullishly stubborn.
Signs in the eye of this storm are Taurus (so ready for a change), Aquarius (strangely resistant), Scorpio (learning to let go of control), and Leo (facing a challenge to step into personal authority and responsibility).
Mercury retrograde: one week to go
This is the third and final week of Mercury’s retrograde, so hold onto your winter hats if you’ve made it this far without a data leak or communications faux pas. Continue to reflect and assess a situation that’s called your attention to it and tweak at will. A challenge during this period is how to deal with the flood of information and what to believe.
Keeping up with Gemini season
While we’re in Gemini season, let’s take a moment to remember.
Gemini is a mutable sign, which means it’s changeable and built to make adaptations. Think updates on apps, but for areas of your life that need tweaking and bridging solutions. This could mean anything from upgrading your software, vocabulary, or even mobility. But don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater, and do stop short of change for change’s sake.
