‘You’re wrong’: Comedian reveals five things men shouldn’t say to women

A comedian has taken the opportunity to educate other straight men on five phrases they should never say to their girlfriend.
Ibrahim Akbar, a comedian from Melbourne, took to Instagram to give insight into what he has learned over the years and shared his dating advice with others.
“Consider me your teacher, I’m here to guide you, I’m here to enlighten you on things you should never tell your girl – never ever,” he began the clip, where he sat in his car and explained what a boyfriend should never say to his girlfriend.

“You’re overreacting – if your girl is venting to you, telling you her problems, is she overreacting? Probably, but does she ever need to know that? Absolutely f***ing not. What’s the need? Just go along with it,,” Akbar explained in the clip.
He said even if your girlfriend is being extreme and talking about how she wants to get revenge on the local bubble tea place for not having her flavour, just go with it.
Another phrase he warned men against saying to their girlfriend was “you’re wrong”.
“Are you dumb? That’s like going to sub saharian Africa, finding a hungry lion and slapping it across the face with a tender piece of meat and being surprised when it attacks you,” he said.
He said if anyone did this, their gravestone would read: “Cause of death: telling his girlfriend she was wrong.”
The comedian said men should also never tell a girlfriend she should change, as she has likely put a lot of effort into her outfit of choice and it’s not worth ruining that.
“Even if your girl comes to you looking like she’s sparred five rounds with Mike Tyson, say she looks good. Who cares?” he said.
He added that men should never tell their girlfriend they aren’t hungry, due to an “unwritten” relationship clause.
“You now share a stomach. She’s not asking if you’re hungry, she’s telling you you’re hungry. There is no excuses – go,” he said.
Akbar added that if a girl asks you what nail colour she should get at the salon, it’s a promotion and don’t tell her to get whatever.
“Don’t waste the opportunity. You’re saying ‘I don’t care, get any nail colour’ but what she is hearing is ‘I want to break up with you,’” he said.
Social media users were quick to agree with the comedian, who’s clip has been watched over 400K times, and add their own phrases.
“Yes with the nails,” one social media user commented.
Another said: “Up there with relax.”
One said: “Man has logic.”
