Man's bizarre Hinge request revealed

A young woman has revealed the bizarre first date request she got from a man on the dating app Hinge.

Cindy, 28, from Sydney, said the current dating age was completely “whackadoodle” and that she found it shocking how “delusional” some men were when approaching women online.

“This is by far the most delusional message I received on Hinge for a first date,” Cindy told her TikTok followers.

She explained the man had commented on one of her photos asking if she would accompany him to a party to impress his mates.

“My friend is here from Perth and he’s having a party and I need a date,” Cindy said, relaying the man’s message.

“He said, ‘you look like a good one to take’. Like sorry? Are you seriously f**king asking me on a first date so you can look good in front of your friends because I look good?

“And you want to show off to all of your friends that the bird you’re bringing is good quality?”

Cindy was lost for words at the man’s request and asked if chivalry was dead or if men genuinely think that is an appropriate way to win a woman’s heart.

“I am still appalled and it’s been six months,” she said.

Cindy, who is originally from Canada, couldn’t get over the interaction – and neither could many other social media users.

“I would have said to him sure my hourly rate is $450. My conditions are as follows; no eye contact, no touching, no talking,” one social media user joked.

Another person commented: “This is why I hate the apps. I have no patience.”

“Men have the audacity and nothing else,” one person said.

One social media user said: “My view of boys is that they really do not deserve a woman, so when we find a man, we will exchange the deservingness with him.”

Cindy said she was now taking a break from dating apps.
