Single woman begs the internet to find ‘beautiful man’ who came to her work
The search is on for a ‘country boy’ who caught the eye of a single 30-year-old Canberra woman over the weekend.
Internet sleuths have been called on to track down a “beautiful man” who caught the attention of a single woman while she was working.
The mystery person, who has since been assigned the name “country boy”, left an impression on Brittany Scrivner after visiting her Canberra workplace over the weekend.
In a video shared online, she said the “beautiful man” wearing a country hat, who she suspected was from out of town, stopped in at her workplace in Woden.
“This man was beautiful. He was like 5’9, maybe six foot, he had blue eyes, gorgeous hair, and I was just like, ‘this man is stunning’,” she told viewers on TikTok.
“I’m single and 30 and like, it was the first time in a while where I’ve been like, ‘that man is drop dead gorgeous’.”
Ms Scrivner said that after a brief exchange about watch bands, during which their “eyes were locked”, he left.
“I said to my friend, ‘I would marry that man today, he’s so gorgeous’, but like, I’m never going to see him again.”
She was proved wrong a few hours later however when he strolled back into the store.
Deciding to be “ballsy”, she approached him to ask if he ended up finding what he was looking for.
After some small talk, she was on the verge of asking if he was “open” when another customer interrupted them to ask for help.
“I look at him and think, ‘please don’t go’, and as I go to help this lady, he leaves,” she said.
“And I’m like, that was my one opportunity.”
She later decided not to give up on another encounter with him and appealed online for help.
“If you know a man and he’s not from Canberra, he’s from the country, who wore a white country hat yesterday, jeans, a flannelette type shirt with a jacket and a David Jones bag, I need your help,” she said.
“This man was stunning and I just want to tell him how beautiful he was.”
In response to a view asking for a glimpse of him from security footage, she said her boss said he might be able to help.
Speaking with news.com.au on Wednesday however, she said he couldn’t due to legal concerns.
While she was yet to receive any promising leads on his identity, she remained hopeful they would some day cross paths again.
