Single man hits Woolworths and Coles aisles to ‘find a wife’

A single Aussie bloke is taking extreme measures to “find a wife”, hitting aisles in Coles and Woolworths he believes single women hangout.

Forget bread and milk, this Aussie bloke is hoping to pick up something extra special at his local supermarket.

A single guy has taken to trawling the aisles of Coles and Woolworths in the hopes of finding a lifelong partner.

The man – who goes by the handle @worldsworsttiktok on TikTok – has documented his recent attempts on social media, showing himself hanging out in the cleaning aisle of Coles and the chocolate section in Woolies.

Unfortunately, he isn’t having much luck, which some female followers have said could be down to the fact “women don’t spend time there”.

“I’m just jumping on the trend that you hangout in the cleaning aisle of Coles and try to find a wife, let’s see how it goes,” he said.

The man, who let his black face mask hang off to the side to film the clip, then updated people in the comments, saying his bid to meet a woman was unsuccessful but that he wasn’t giving up.

Many responded giving suggestions of supermarket sections he should try next, such as the cheese, ice cream and chocolate aisles – but not everyone was impressed with the tactic.

“Why would we be in the cleaning aisle?” one woman asked.

“I didn’t know this was a thing,” another girl said.

“Women don’t spend much time in the cleaning aisles anymore,” someone else added.

Others suggested heading to Kmart instead, insisting the budget superstore was the place to “find a wife”.

According to videos on his TikTok account, the bachelor loves bacon, can play the guitar and is a gamer.

Clearly undeterred, the man headed to the chocolate aisle at Woolies a few days later.

“A few people said this is the best place to find a wife so let’ see how we go,” he said.

However, he had similar results as his efforts in Coles, blaming the Friday night time of 7.15pm for the lack of success.

“There’s been a couple of click and collect people picking up chocolate so maybe that’s what ya’ll doing when you’re watching your TV shows on Netflix.

“I dunno, help me out.”

Once again many jumped in with suggestions, with some pointing out single women were searching the aisles of Bunnings for eligible bachelors after a NSW woman went viral trawling the hardware store after giving up on dating apps.

Leesh Cunningham shared a two-part video of her mission on TikTok in December that sees her wandering the aisles of the hardware store clutching a sign that reads: “Wanted!!! Looking for a husband! Can you help?”

At one point Leesh even asks a Bunnings employee if they had any men left in stock.

Despite having zero luck in store, Leesh was inundated with offers online but has yet to meet anyone.

Most recently she took her quest to Boating Camping Fishing (BCF) but has yet to snag herself a man.
