Pythons on the loose in Coogee after woman’s ex-partner allegedly throws a tantrum
A woman’s ex-partner has allegedly “dumped” her two pet snakes during a “tantrum” because she ended their relationship.
Two large snakes are on the loose in an affluent suburb of Sydney after a woman’s disgruntled ex-partner allegedly released them during a “tantrum.”
The woman, who does not wish to be named, has offered a reward for the return of her pythons, saying an upset ex-partner “dumped them” in Coogee.
“My sh***y ex threw a tantrum when I broke up with him and dumped my lovely hand-reared pet pythons out in a fit of anger,” she posted on a Facebook local community page.
“He dumped them on Mount St, Coogee. The snakes are domesticated and won’t survive in the wild.”
The woman said the 2.5m snakes were “quite sweet and don’t bite”.
“I’m really scared for their safety, so please if anyone has seen them let me know,” she said.
“The brown one is called Bagel and the albino is called Mango.”
Some of the comments have suggested she take the matter up with the RSPCA or police.
There have been some sightings too but so far the pythons remain missing.
