Model Sarah Ellen goes public with relationship with The Inspired Unemployed’s Matt Ford
Aussie fashion darling Sarah Ellen has hard-launched her relationship with The Inspired Unemployed funnyman Matt Ford.
A new Sydney ‘It’ couple debuted this week when fashion darling Sarah Ellen hard-launched her relationship with The Inspired Unemployed funnyman Matt Ford.
The model posted a series of black and white Polaroid images of the pair to her Instagram, including one of them kissing, captioned with a single rocket emoji.
She was inundated with a frenzy of excited comments from the likes of Pip Edwards, fellow model Jessica Gomes, Jade Yarbrough and Dylan Alcott – the latter of whom declared: “F**K I LIVE FOR THIS HARD LAUNCH.”
According to The Sunday Telegraph, Ellen and Ford have been together for the past six months.
The 26-year-old fashion industry veteran – who has worked with the likes of Valentino, Celine and Tiffany & Co – revealed in December that she’d ended her five-year engagement to musician Caleb Jackson.
“This is the first time I’ve said this on the record,” she told ELLE Australia.
“A lot of people don’t know this, but I was engaged for five years, and I kept it incredibly quiet. Obviously, we’re not together anymore. But I kept it private, the highs, the lows, I was just conscious of protecting it.
“I don’t feel the need to publicise (it), but coming out of such a long-term relationship that I’d been in from such a young age … that was a really transformative part of my life.”
The break-up prompted Ellen to go “on a very big self-discovery journey that led me to realise that as women we’re taught that our greatest adventure is finding the love of our lives”.
“And I realised there’s more to life for us. So much. And so that’s what kind of sparked the initial journey of growth.”
Asked about the expectations that “true love” should be a woman’s life goal, Ellen responded: “Expectations? I don’t feel the pressure of expectations, no. Period.”
