Man roasted for accidentally adding 14 girls he’s trying to date to same group chat

A single guy who wanted to get back on the dating wagon after the pandemic had his hopes dashed when he made an embarrassing mistake.

How to tell if your partner is cheating

They say that in order to find “The One”, you have to kiss a few frogs along the way – and thanks to dating apps, you can now connect with more people than ever before.

So with this in mind, we can’t really blame anyone for recycling an opening line (or two).

However, one thing that is guaranteed to land you in the bad books is adding 14 women you’re trying to date into one group chat.

Sounds too ridiculous to be true? Well feast your eyes on this cringe-worthy text exchange which has gone viral after being shared on the whatisnewyork Instagram page.

The hopeful singleton dubbed himself “British Will” and tried his luck with a group of women he’d matched with in 2020.

He wrote: “Hey stranger! We matched on Bumble last year but didn’t meet due to Covid.

“I just arrived back in the city and was wondering if you were still single?!”

While this would have been a nice enough message, Will really ruined his chances when he accidentally made a group chat out of all his Bumble matches, resulting in him texting 14 women at once.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long for the women to blast the lazy move – and they even changed the chat’s name to “British Will’s Angels”.

One replied: “Ew did you just text fourteen girls at once? Goodbye, sir.”

Another added: “Will, respectfully suck a d**k. It’s hot girl summer.”

Owning up to his mistake, Will chimed in with: “Haha! Massive fail on my side.”

Some of the women claimed they had met Will in person, but described him as a “catfish”.

“On a walk around Soho during Covid we had one margarita,” she explained. “Def weighed 30-50 more lbs than pics showed. That was the last [date].”

However, many of the girls were happy to have been connected with like-minded women, with one inviting them to be friends on Instagram and have drinks on her rooftop.

“I promise we will have more fun than with this loser,” she said.

“I never met him [Will] but happy to have met all of you,” another said.

While one declared: “This is the best thing I’ve ever been a part of.”

Reaction to the brutal but hilarious exchange online has been huge, with many stating “I’ve never wanted to be invited to a rooftop party so badly.”

If you think that text message was bad, one woman recently shared the “Millennial” way she ended things with a guy she was seeing – getting her new love interest’s grown daughter to text him for her.

Jana Hocking detailed the unusual way she broke up with a former flame on news.com.au’s new relationship podcast, Kinda Sorta Dating, telling guest Stu Laundy it was peak “Millennial” behaviour.

“I dated a guy who had adult kids, and I got on really well with his daughter,” the 36-year-old said.

“She broke up with the guy I was currently dating at the time so I could go out with her dad.

“I was like, ‘I don’t know how to write the text’, and that’s how Millennial I am, I did it by text.”
