Man reveals the creepy pick-up lines he received on Tinder
After snapping a new photo, a British guy set up a Tinder profile — but was stunned by the majorly unexpected reaction he received.
A man who used a smartphone filter to create a fake Tinder profile has revealed the creepy messages and pick-up lines he received from men he had matched with.
Jake Askew, from Derby in England, had been playing around with the new “gender swap” Snapchat filter when he had a genius idea.
The hugely popular filter allows users to effectively transform themselves into the opposite sex by adding features like long hair, eyelashes and thicker eyebrows to their faces.
The filter has sparked a major trend of people modifying their faces on Snapchat for fun.
Men, in particular, have really taken to the filter, posting gorgeous photos of themselves as women across the internet.
Jake was no exception, trying out the filter with his mate SJ last week.
And the results were phenomenal.
Jake told website LadBible he was astonished at how good he looked as a woman.
“I looked at myself with the Snapchat filter on and thought I looked unreal,” he said.
Suddenly, inspiration struck.
“I showed my mate and we thought we’d make a Tinder just to see if I’d get any matches from it,” he said.
Jake and SJ set up a Tinder profile for a 19-year-old girl from Derby, called Jess.
But the two friends were not prepared for the overwhelming response Jess’s Tinder profile received.
The female version of himself received almost 400 Tinder matches and more than 1500 responses — many of which were creepy and inappropriate.
One message Jess received simply read: “Are you a beaver? Because Damn.”
Jake tweeted a selection of screenshots, featuring matches and messages from guys hoping to get “a bit of me with a filter on”.
“Within an hour I was the most popular girl in Derby,” he wrote.
“Stunned and honoured.”

Jake said Jess got some pretty explicit responses from “some right randy bastards” on the app.
He posted a message thread he received from a man called Andy, but the final line has been removed as it’s content was too explicit.
Jake said he planned to keep his true identity a secret for as long as possible.
“I didn’t let anyone know about it, I’ll keep ’em guessing,” he told LadBible.
He also said he developed a new understanding of women’s experiences with online dating.
We had it all night, donât know how girls can deal with it

The response to the post was overwhelming — more than 13,000 likes and thousands of shares.
People described Jake’s idea as “absolute gold” and asked their friends to try the trick out with them.

Some people couldn’t understand how Jess’s suitor couldn’t see she wasn’t real, but Jake sorted them out quick smart.
