‘Life-changing’ doona hack that will save your marriage
A couple have revealed how they ensure the other doesn’t hog the covers at night – and many have labelled the tip “life-changing”.
A couple in Norway has revealed their solution to the age-old doona wars with a clever trick that ensures one partner doesn’t end up with all the covers while the other freezes.
As a result, viewers have labelled the tip “life-changing”, noting it can prevent endless arguments and sleepless nights.
But it’s so simple, you might just kick yourself.
The so-called “hack” simply involves each person having their own doona and it’s proved so popular, it has already had nearly 470,000 views, the New York Post reports.
Cecilia Blomdahl, 25, said the bedding set-up is commonplace for people across Europe, but viewers who live outside the continent were amazed.
If you’re keen to adopt the clever tactic, Cecilia said you need to start with a fitted sheet before placing two doonas overlapping in the middle of the bed.
Another advantage to the individual bedding is each partner can have a different tog for their doona – something especially helpful if one partner runs colder or hotter than the other.
“Honestly the first time I experienced two duvets was in Iceland and it was life-changing,” said one user.
“This is how my husband and I do it too here in America. We cannot share one blanket. We have to have at least two for our sanity,” said another.

“We recently got two duvets and it’s been the best choice for the longevity of our marriage,” joked another.
The “European bedding style” is mostly found in Scandinavian countries such as Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
