Instagram model says she was banned from Tinder after matches accused her of being ‘fake’

An Instagram model claims she was banned from dating app Tinder for being so attractive, men didn’t believe she was real.

No d*** pics! Here's the dating app advice you've been waiting for

An Instagram model claims she is “too hot for Tinder”.

Holly Valentine, 26, from Los Angeles, California, says she was banned from the app when matches reported her account as fake – because they didn’t think she was “real”.

The model boasts 1.2 million followers explained she’d been travelling for work when she downloaded the app — but potential dates thought she was a catfish and reported her account to the app.

However, just a couple of hours later, Holly found several messages from her matches insisting it was a fake account.

To her disbelief she was later locked out of the app, unable to redownload the app and sign in.

MISTOOK HER FOR A CATFISH

“I travel a lot so I wanted to date and meet new people when I was travelling and in town, so I bought the most expensive package that they offer that lets you set your location to anywhere,” the 26-year-old said.

“I used clean pictures, did everything I was supposed to, swiped right on a couple people, I got some matches and then started binge watching Game of Thrones.

“Then after a couple hours I went back on saw a couple previews of messages and then got locked out of the app.

“The previews that I did see were ‘You’re probably not real,’ ‘Why would a girl like you be on Tinder?’ ‘Why won’t you answer?’”

She did some research and learned you can get banned from the app.

“So I figured I must have gotten flagged on there so I contacted Tinder and Apple asking for a refund,” Holly said, explaining she’d paid $128 for a premium membership.

“Tinder gave me no response and Apple gave me a canned answer basically saying refunds are up to the discretion of the app and Tinder isn’t agreeing to it but they won’t tell us why.”

When asked why she was on the app, Holly said: “Models can be shy too.”

Holly, who previously worked in marketing and branding, started her Instagram page as an “experiment” to see how well she could brand herself and her page.

Over the years, she managed to gain more than 1.3 million followers and has even launched her own alcohol and lifestyle brand business.

Holly is often inundated with messages from her fans

“I have a lot of respect for people with fetishes so it takes a lot to weird me out, but the one I am always shocked by is when guys want me to ‘ruin them’ and reach out to their wives or girlfriends or even jobs if they don’t obey me.

“I’ve done it once and I could never do it again. Most of the time the requests are pretty normal though.”

She has since started an OnlyFans account where she posts private content to fans on a subscription basis, and has shot up as one of this year’s top earners on the site.

“I had never done anything like that and I was really curious but I was working in an office every day and just didn’t think I could do it. Then I met a girl who did it and I just kind of went for it.

After trying “everything” from Instagram to Snapchat, the influencer said she “realised this is what I’m supposed to do. And it’s fun”.

Despite her provocative appearance, Holly insisted she has always been a genuine “girl next door” and has a nerdy side she is not afraid to show.

She said: “Im all natural, very fit, blonde, girl next door looking. I do have a nerdy side and I’m not afraid to show it but depending on the wardrobe or make up I can go from looking like an all natural college girl or a bombshell.

“I’m extremely real and people know that the first second. When people meet me in real life the first thing they say is, ‘You’re exactly the same in real life.’

“A lot of people are going for the girl next door vibe but that’s just who I am.”
