Gerald Abrahams holds up signs looking for hot brunette after becoming bored of internet dating
SOME guys really will do anything to score the woman of their dreams. Gerald Abrahams held up signs in the freezing cold seeking a hot brunette. But did he score the girl?
SOME guys really will do anything to score the woman of their dreams, even if it means risking public humiliation or their dignity.
But Londoner Gerald Abrahams did just that while holding up signs seeking love with hot brunettes after becoming fed up with internet dating.
The landscape gardener took the drastic measure and walked around with signs through London and its busiest train stations in a bid to find love.
Mr Abrahams, from Surry, stood in freezing rain during the morning peak hour with his sign 'Hot brunette wanted for 2014!' and 'Dates/romance must like dogs and landscapers'.
And while he admits he did get a few emails, it's understood he is yet to score that dream date.
He told the Evening Standard he was looking for a woman with dark hair, but who was also practical, outgoing and with a good sense of humour.
"I just needed to do something different for 2014," he said. "I've had enough of internet dating and thought this would be something lighthearted that people might find amusing and bring a smile to their face."
Popular radio station Absolute Radio took up his cause and invited him onto the show, while the ladies on Twitter also expressed their interest.
@absoluteradio #WaterlooRomeo #OC if only he liked cats, my friend would be perfect. Shame. Good luck to him.
@absoluteradio @PapaSonsFilm Thats nuts. At Waterloo Station all the hot ladies would be rushing to work @OCDo a datelink for him
Mr Abraham wouldn't be the first person to wear his heart on a public sign.
London woman Isabella took the drastic action of putting up lost boyfriend posters in London featuring the face of Hollywood heart-throb Ryan Gosling to snare herself a man.
She was reportedly inundated with offers from men who spotted the posters.
