An Aussie man is using a creative tactic to try to score a date on Tinder and many women are impressed.

A man looking for a date has gone to extreme lengths, offering up a Taylor Swift ticket on a dating app.

Uploading a screenshot of Ticketek’s “lounge” to Tinder, the suspected singleton’s bio was updated to read: “Need a date for Taylor, thought I better start looking.”

Tickets for Swift’s Australian leg of her Eras Tour went on sale late last month, with millions of fans spending hours in the virtual “lounge”, waiting to see if they got tickets to the sold-out shows.

According to 7NEWS Swifties began circulating the Tinder profile on social media, contemplating what lengths they would go to to see the singer perform.

“Not this man’s way of getting a girl on Tinder,” the woman who posted it said.

Met with hundreds of replies, fans discussed how far they were willing to go for a ticket.

“I’d risk possibly getting murdered for this,” one said.

“Even if his plan was to murder me, I would simply ask for him to wait until after (the concert). A win is a win,” another said.

Some users were quick to point out, however, that the screenshot of the “lounge” did not prove he had actually purchased tickets.

Regardless, many still considered taking the risk.

“Let’s be honest, it’s genius,” one said.

“He’s won me over.”

Around four million people tried to purchase presale Swift tickets last month, while a similar number is believed to have had a crack in the general sale.

The unprecedented demand led Swift to add an extra show to her tour Down Under, with at least hundreds of thousands of fans still expected to miss out on a ticket.

Swift will perform in Melbourne from February 16-18 and Sydney from February 23-26.

The massive demand for her shows led Qantas to schedule additional flights between February 15 and February 27, 2024, adding more than 11,000 seats during that period.
