Dating site beautifulpeople.com kicks out 3,000 people for being not beautiful enough.
WELL played, humanity. You’ve gone and shown your true colours again. What happened to being beautiful on the inside?
WHY are people so cruel?
Why are we so shallow and superficial? Whatever happened to being “beautiful on the inside?”
Turns out that’s just one of those things they say to make ugly people feel better, if today’s news story about the website beautifulpeople.com is to be believed.
What happened was, administrators of the dating site booted out a bunch of members for no longer being beautiful enough, various UK sources report.
(The British media is all over this story because 500 of the 3,000 cuts were Brits, and you sense they’re a tad personally offended.)
Beautifulpeople.com reportedly said the discarded members no longer met the “rigorous standards expected” of the “exclusive community”. It suggested they now look for love elsewhere. Piling on the kilos and “graceless ageing” were the reasons most often cited for the cuteness cull.
Well, that got us interested here at news.com.au. We wondered just how rigorous the site’s standards really were, so we made an account using this extremely handsome pic of the author’s cat with its tongue poking out in a dopey yet adorable kind of way.
And just look at the results. After a sluggish start, “Ant69” is absolutely slaying them.
BUT WAIT! IN LATE BREAKING NEWS, THIS JUST HAPPENED. WE’RE OUTRAGED!!!
BUT WAIT SOME MORE! THIS EPIC, IF SLIGHTLY ILLITERATE, INSULT JUST OCCURRED!!!
@antsharwood Sign up yourself you may have more luck then your cat. Although your cat was very cute & had lovely hair...ahem taxi!

This, by the way, is not the first time Beautiful People has made the news over the ugliness issue. In 2011, a virus named “Shrek” was unleashed on the site, allowing 30 thousand uglies to sign up.
“We have sincere regret for the unfortunate people who were wrongly admitted to the site and who believed, albeit for a short while, that they were beautiful,” a site spokesman said at the time. “Many of them were no oil painting.”
Can you believe the gall of these people?
Anyway, while we’re all being honest and upfront about each other’s looks, yes, your bum does look big in that. Big and bloody beautiful. Have a lovely day.
