Chantelle Otten speaks out over rumours she split from Dylan Alcott
Sexologist Chantelle Otten has addressed rumours that she has split from long-term partner and Paralympian Dylan Alcott.
Psycho-sexologist Chantelle Otten has addressed rumours she and her tennis star partner have called it quits after four years.
Ms Otten, 32, took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to answer questions from her fans, with many asking if she was still dating the former Australian of the Year, Dylan Alcott.
In the now expired clip, Ms Otten confirmed the status of the couple’s relationship after a fan asked if she was “still with Dyl” or if she had chosen to remove her romantic life from social media.
“Lots of questions like this – yes, we’re still together,” Ms Otten told her 193,000 followers on the social media platform.
“I just like my privacy, I like my offline life to be my offline life and I think I already share a lot. The past few years I’ve just become a lot more insular – it makes me feel good. It suits me.”
Ms Otten and Alcott aren’t normally shy about discussing their sex life with the pair often sharing their story.
Earlier this year, they appeared on the IVF documentary Big Miracles, with Ms Otten confirming she was going through a second round of egg freezing.
“I think a lot of people watched Dyl and I on Big Miracles a few months ago,” she posted in a short video to Instagram at the time.
“And yeah, I’m just doing another round because I want to have them there for when we are ready [to have a baby] but also I can donate afterwards as well.
“I know plenty of people who might not have as good of a journey as I am having with egg freezing … so if anyone has questions about it please let me know.”
The Melbourne-based couple – who met at Alcott’s book launch in 2018 – told 9Entertainment earlier this year they’d discussed having a family since the start of the relationship.
By sharing her own experience with egg freezing, she said she hoped to “show menstruators who are around my age that you can have a safety blanket and take control of your fertility by freezing your eggs”.
