Booby tape millionaire says her success ‘emasculates’ men
One of the sisters behind the Booby Tape empire has revealed that despite all of her success, she is unable to find love.
Booby Tape co-founder Bianca Roccisano has revealed she is taking steps to have a baby on her own after being unable to find love in the dating world.
The millionaire, 37, who founded the successful brand with her sister Bridgett, spoke with The Project’s Sarah Harris on Tuesday to explain her decision to freeze her eggs.
“What’s really upset me recently in my dating years is that I’ve dated so many men and they’re really blunt with telling me – they’re not even scared – but they say, ‘You’re fabulous, however the fact you perhaps make more money than me, I will never be OK with that,’” she said.
While she originally thought she had just happened upon one “narcissistic man”, the entrepreneur soon realised it was a common thread with all the men she dated, saying that men believe she is “emasculating” them.
But on the flip side, the 37-year-old said some of her male friends complain about their wives who stay at home looking after the children wanting to buy expensive items.
Ms Roccisano said as a woman you can’t win either way.
Her experience in the dating world inspired her to look into what it would be like to take on motherhood on her own.
She kept putting it off because she thought things would turn around and she would meet somebody.
“I didn’t think I’d be going down this path on my own but I am turning 38 in August, and I am going through the process of getting my eggs out. I wish I did it years ago,” she said.
She urged anyone considering freezing their eggs, to take the leap and do it as soon as they can.
The millionaire added that she wasn’t frightened of the huge journey ahead, but rather sad she may have to achieve her dream through freezing her eggs.
She’s given herself 18 months to find love, but if it doesn’t happen she will begin the IVF journey.
While Ms Roccisano said it would have been the dream to get pregnant “the old fashioned way”, but added her parents set a very high bar of what love should look like.
Meanwhile her younger sister Bridgett, who is six years younger, is set to tie the knot with her fiance Joshua Cavallaro in two months’ time.
