Kim Jong-un has everybody looking up this word

GOOGLE searches for the definition of this word have skyrocketed after Kim Jong-un used it in his slapdown of Donald Trump.

THERE’S a new word on everybody’s lips today thanks to Kim-Jong-un’s colourful slapdown of US President Donald Trump.

Google searches of the word “dotard” have reportedly surged after the North Korean leader used it to describe his American nemesis.

So what the hell is a dotard?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary Twitter account, known for its hilarious Trump trolling, moved quickly to explain the little-used word.

‘Dotard: A state or period of senile decay marked by a decline of mental poise,” it tweeted.

It cites the first known use of the word in the 14th century and notes it is in the “bottom 30 percent” of commonly used words.

Social media has responded appropriately, with many now dubbing Trump “Dotard-in-Chief” and “Bloatard”.

I've had to explain "dotard" to 4 different people in the last hour.

In a speech to the United Nations this week, Mr Trump said he would “totally destroy” North Korea if it attacked the US or one of its allies.

Kim fired back with a lengthy and colourful rant, digging deep for insults and disappointing nobody by coming out with the stunning “dotard”.

“Far from making remarks of any persuasive power that can be viewed to be helpful to defusing tension, he made unprecedented rude nonsense,” he said.

“A frightened dog barks louder. He is unfit to hold the prerogative of supreme command of a country, and he is surely a rogue and a gangster fond of playing with fire.

“Action is the best option in treating the dotard who, hard of hearing, is uttering only what he wants to say.

“I will make the man holding the prerogative of the supreme command in the US pay dearly for his speech calling for totally destroying the DPRK.

“Whatever Trump might have expected, he will face results beyond his expectation. I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged US dotard with fire.”
