Woman drove 10 times over blood alcohol limit, court told
ANGELA Bisson may have just set a national record. She was allegedly found slumped over with a blood alcohol level that should have been fatal.
A GOLD Coast woman has fronted court accused of driving while almost a staggering 10 times over the legal limit.
Angela Bisson was allegedly found slumped over the wheel outside a Runaway Bay cafe in December.
She allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.48 and was taken to hospital.
In the Southport Magistrates Court this morning Bisson appeared for the first time charged with drink driving.
Her lawyer Paul Hamilton adjourned the case until February 17.
It is believed the reading may be a record for Australia. Medical authorities have indicated such a level of alcohol in the system could easily lead to death.
