Scottish influencer who looks like a ‘real-life Barbie doll’

The 20-year-old has been labelled the real life version of Barbie thanks to her glamorous appearance and OTT outfits.

Meet the human Barbie doll

A stunning Scottish woman has been subbed a “real life Barbie doll” due to her extravagant style.
With her big bouncy hair, doll-like features and glamorous outfits, it‘s no surprise that Elizabeth Smith, 20, from Edinburgh, has been dubbed a real life Barbie by strangers.
“People say I am the human version of Barbie. I don‘t personally see it myself, but I take it as a compliment,” she said.
The influencer believes the comparison comes from her hair and glam makeup.
“I get lots of compliments on my hair, girls are always asking me to show them how to do it but the trick is just lots of backcombing,” Elizabeth said.

“My hair naturally has a lot of volume so that makes it easier, and I have just got very good at backcombing and curling over the years to achieve a big backcombed bouncy look.”
As well as her trademark locks, Elizabeth‘s lavish outfits make her stand out from the crowd, with the Insta star saying she takes fashion inspiration from her mum, Louise Young, 45.
“My mum has had eight kids and still looks like a supermodel, so it so fashionable and on-trend,” Elizabeth said.

“Fashion is one of my main interests, it is my favourite hobby and I feel great when I am dressed up in my favourite clothes.”

As well as being her chosen hobby, Elizabeth makes sure she always has a new outfit for every weekend.

“I online shop most evenings while I am on my phone, but my favourite places to go shopping are Selfridges and Harrods,” she said.
“I especially love going to these shops for handbags and shoes.
“I would say that some of my favourite brands are Chanel, Fendi and Dior, but I do also love high street brands such as Zara.”

She said that “receiving compliments” gives her the motivation to dress up more” as people always ask Elizabeth about where her clothes are from.

“I would describe my style as a mixture of everything, as I can be casual and also very glamorous, but I would say the best way to describe it is classy. I love wearing a nice coat with some heels,” Elizabeth said.

Elizabeth has around 40 pairs of shoes and a collection of 18 lavish handbags, of which she struggles to pick a favourite as she says she loves them for all different reasons.

After recently getting married and moving in with her husband, Nathan, 21, Elizabeth still has to keep some of her clothes in her wardrobe room at the former home that she shared with her sisters.
Elizabeth has two wardrobes that are both colour co-ordinated, one for clothes she hasn‘t worn yet, and another wardrobe for clothes that have been worn.
The Barbie doll lookalike has such an eye for fashion that she frequently designs her own dresses and has them made for special events, such as when she is attending a wedding.

“I love to design my own dresses, if I am struggling to find something then I always design an outfit with a dressmaker so I can wear exactly what I want and have it exactly how I like it,” Elizabeth said.

Elizabeth tied the knot with her husband, who she has known since she was 14, in September. The wedding was nothing short of a fairy tale.

The couple got married at the luxurious Trump Turnberry Resort in Ayrshire, Scotland, with 20 guests due to restrictions.
“This was my absolute dream venue, I had always wanted to get married there in the ballroom. It is just beautiful,” she said.
“It is like something from a movie. I felt so lucky to be able to get married here even though it wasn‘t exactly how we would have planned because of the pandemic.
“If it was normal circumstances we would have had about 150 guests with lots of singing, dancing and entertainment.
“However, it was still an amazing day.
“I had eight bridesmaids, seven were my sisters and one was my husband‘s niece. We had all of their dresses custom made too. Everything was perfect.
“It was a dream wedding.”
