Dying little girl’s final party combines her birthday, prom and wedding

LILA May is a brave 5-year-old with terminal cancer. And what her community did to help celebrate her final birthday will have you in tears.

OVER the past three years Lila May Schow has battled with neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. She has undergone several treatments and with none proving successful.

The beautiful little girl now has months to live so her mother Heidi Hall decided to make her fifth birthday, possibly her last, a memorable one.

She put out a call out about her daughter’s condition and the fact they were planning a party on Facebook, and her local community in Oregon responded.

The beautiful Lily May.
The beautiful Lily May.

A building, six cakes, a princess throne, a horse and carriage ride were donated along with actors dressed as Disney characters donating their time for Lila May’s birthday.

The aim of the party was to give Lila May everything she would have experienced in her life had she been given the opportunity to live it, such as a prom and a wedding.

The most heartbreaking moment was when it came time for the father daughter dance with her father, Ryan Schow.
