THAT must have been some service.

New Jersey waitress Brianna Siegel, 21, says she almost collapsed in shock upon discovering a couple had left her a $1,200 tip — on a $20 bill — this week, nj.com reported.

“I nearly fell to the floor,” the waitress said. “This shows there are still nice people out in the world.”

Siegel said she had been joking with the couple at Bar Louie restaurant in Woodbridge when the generous pair paid their $20 tab and gave her an envelope, telling her to open it when she got home.

The envelope had the $1,200 ($1,519.18 AUD) cheque and a note, which read in part, “Bri, God cares for you. This is not a coincidence … whenever it gets hard KNOW God got you.”

“I am still in shock, to be honest,” Siegel said. “I never thought I would ever get something like that in my lifetime.”

Siegel, who has been a waitress since she was 16, said she’ll use the money toward nursing school and a new car — and still can’t understand why the couple chose to give her such a big tip.
