Police are trying to track down a woman who they allege stole an item from an adult shop

A woman has been caught on CCTV allegedly stealing an X-rated sex toy, so racy the cops insist it’s “best not to say” what item was stolen.

A woman has been caught on CCTV allegedly stealing an item from an adult sex shop in Northbridge, Perth last month.

WA Police has released two images of the woman leaving the store just after 8pm on Anzac Day.

They posted the images to their Facebook page last night, appealing to the public to contact Crime Stoppers if they recognise the woman.

Perth District police allege the woman crouched down to hide the item under her shirt before walking out without paying for it.

“At 8.16pm on Thursday the 25th of April a female entered a Northbridge Adult Shop and stole an item by hiding it inside her shirt,” the post read on the police Facebook page.

The woman is white in appearance with tanned skin, brown hair and brown eyes and between 20 to 30 years old.

Police concluded the post with two cheeky hashtags — #WhatstheItem #bestnotsay — which, of course, led to some humorous comments.

“I just hope the story has a happy ending,” one Facebook user said.

“I’m sensing a lot of negative vibes here. She obviously just wanted a buzz. I’m sure she thought long and hard about it,” another joked.

“How am I supposed to take this matter serious? d y i n g #whatstheitem #bestnotsay,” a third said.

“What a thing to get busted for.”

Police have asked if anyone recognises the woman to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
