Young Japanese woman Saki Sudo arrested for poisoning 77-year-old husband Kosuke Nozaki
A young Japanese widow has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her rich husband after he died from acute poisoning.
A 25-year-old Japanese woman has been accused of murdering her millionaire husband.
Saki Sudo was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of poisoning the self-described “Don Juan” just months into their marriage.
Kosuke Nozaki, president of a liquor sales company and real estate business, died in 2018 at the age of 77 of acute poisoning.
His widow Saki Sudo, now 25, is suspected of killing Mr Nozaki by making him take a large amount of a stimulant drug orally, as there were no needle marks on his body, the reports said.

Before his death, Ms Sudo had dinner alone with Mr Nozaki, police said.
The Japan Times reports Ms Sudo had allegedly researched stimulants on the internet.
Local police declined to confirm the arrest when contacted by AFP.
The ‘Don Juan’ of Kishu
In one of his books, Mr Nozaki, a businessman based in western Japan, wrote that he spent ¥3 billion ($A35 million) on wooing 4000 beautiful women.
“The reason I make money is to date attractive women,” he wrote, according to public broadcaster NHK.
His best-selling autobiography was titled Don Juan of Kishu, referring to the region where he lived.
He wrote in the memoir: “When I find a woman of my type, tall and voluptuous, I would tell her … I want to go out with you and have sex with you … I’ll give you ¥400,000 ($A4726) if you agree.”
Mr Nozaki left a will saying he wanted to donate ¥1.3 billion ($A15 million) to a city he had lived in.
But because half of his fortune goes to his widow under civil law, the city in Wakayama prefecture had been in talks with Ms Sudo about splitting the money, the Sankei Shimbun reported.
In a 2018 book, Mr Nozaki wrote that he met a woman believed to be Ms Sudo when she helped him after he fell down at a Tokyo airport, according to the report.
Ms Sudo reportedly told her family that she was moving from Sapporo to work at her friend’s real estate business, but did not reveal she was married.
The widow told friends she paid for trips that she plastered on social media with investments, the article said.
In 2016, Mr Nozaki’s then-girlfriend, who was also in her 20s and described herself as a model, was arrested for allegedly stealing cash and jewellery.
